South by Southwest has set the world premiere of Richard Linklater’s dramedy “Everybody Wants Some” as its opening night film on March 11 for its 23rd edition.

The film stars Blake Jenner, Ryan Guzman (who was a college baseball pitcher), Tyler Hoechlin, Wyatt Russell, Glen Powell, Will Brittain and Zoey Deutch.
The title is taken from a popular 1980 song of the same name by Van Halen. The project has been considered the follow-up to Linklater’s breakthrough 1993 film “Dazed and Confused,” which is set in a Texas high school in the ’70s. SEE MORE:Richard Linklater Baseball Comedy to Release April 15.
